When my clients purchased this home, it had all the stylistic elements of the 1970's.  We totally opened up the Kitchen - which involved moving the Laundry Room upstairs, removing a large portion of the wall to the Dining Room, and a section of wall leading to the Living Room.  We also added new built-in cabinets in the Living Room.
